21. Get your pupils to note that,
up to now, they have only played contracts in Hearts or Spades, as soon
as they had eight cards. Remind them of the notions of scoring which makes
major contracts preferable to minor contracts (advice
13.1).
Indicate then the method of determining a minor Trump contract: -

if the pair possesses a fit of at
least eight cards in major, you play the contract in major; |

if not, everything depends on the
number of H points in the two hands: |

with at least 25 H points, you play
a No-Trumps contract. |
