Correction of exercises
Check (by show of hands) who has done the exercise and show that you are clearly disappointed by those who have continued not to do the homework: avoid however any serious reproaches but make them promise that next time they will make the effort…

When you correct the second exercise ask those who say they will take three tricks in Hearts how they will do it: manage to tell them that they were blocked by the 10 (or the King) and that they had to get back to hand by another suit. Insist on the necessity of playing Hearts straight away.

Comprehension questions

a) Do a new exercise of counting points: write on the board as high up as possible so that they give the answer as soon as the last card is written.
b) Ask for an example of sequence.
c) Write down a deal of three hands and ask them to find the fourth by inference (send a child to the board).
d) Ask them to choose a lead between lead between K Q J 7 and Q J 10 8: why is the first preferable?
