Correction
of exercises
In the first exercise insist on the fact that you must play
"high and short" whenever you have high cards in the short suit
{case (a) and (d)}. Show that in case (c ) playing the certain trick with
the Ace then the small card allows you to cash in two certain tricks.
Congratulate those who have replied correctly to the second exercise,
particularly for diagram (d) which is the most difficult. Get them to
see that the favourable distribution of a suit can be combined with cashing
in honours.
