When you have a moment in the week copy the following definitions into
a small note-book to be sure of remembering them afterwards:

when the declarer doesn't
make his contract. |
| Contract |
the commitment that a
declarer makes to take a certain number of tricks. |
| Honour |
the five highest cards
of each suit: Ace, King, Queen, Jack, Ten. |
| Sequence |
a series of at least three
cards in a row; e.g. A K Q, K Q J, Q J 10…. |
| Promote
(an honour) |
turn a lesser honour into
a master by drawing out the opponent's masters. |
